How Does SmoothGlo Work?
Before we begin your Valencia SmoothGlo treatment, we thoroughly review your medical history and discuss your aesthetic goals during a consultation. This is also a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have. If we determine you are a good candidate for SmoothGlo, we will create an individualized plan.
A treatment session has two parts. During the first step, we use the StellarM22 IPL to remove brown and red skin lesions and improve your skin tone. This part of the process also increases the water content in your skin, which is important preparation for the rest of the appointment.
For the second step, we use Legend Pro Voluderm RF microneedling to improve your skin texture and volume. We also create contouring effects when exposing the enhanced moisture in your skin to an electric charge.
Recovery and Results
Your skin may feel warm for several hours after a SmoothGlo session and
you may experience mild swelling for a few days afterward. It is normal
for some redness, dryness, and minor scabbing to appear on the treated
area. This will naturally heal within a week after treatment. We recommend
you avoid sun exposure for at least a week after a visit. You should also
opt for gentle cleansers and moisturize frequently.
First results appear after your initial treatment and will become more visible after each subsequent appointment. Three or four sessions generally provide full and long-lasting results. SmoothGlo evens your skin tone, smooths wrinkles, and boosts your body’s natural production of hyaluronic acid for firmer skin.
After your initial treatment, we will determine what upkeep schedule can maintain your results, Many patients only require two per year.
